The Chicest Clothes I’ve Seen Today Come From Wal-Mart: Thank You, Norma Kamali
Racked is reporting that the window’s of Norma Kamali’s New York store, normally filled with $350 swimsuits and $2,500 gowns, is brimming with $10 pieces from the designer’s collection for Wal-Mart. So in love am I!

Kamali’s swimwear has made a major mark on American fashion; she invented the “sleeping bag coat,” and is responsible for those wear-it-any-way outfits you may remember from the late 80s/early 90s, which eventually led to Units and Multiples (a simple bandeau served as either a belt around a jersey jumpsuit or a very teeny skirt, etc). The innovative designer has now found her way to the mass pastures of Wal-Mart, with a line of skirts, dresses, T-shirts, and suits that retail for just $10 to $20. As the designer puts it, “Through the Wal-Mart stores and Web site I can reach more people and affect more lives than in any other venue.” And for that we thank you girl!
Check out the photos on Racked, and then weigh in: Will you guys wear Norma Kamali’s clothes for Wal-Mart?
