A few years ago, it seemed like every socialite on the planet slapped her name on a few bangle bracelets and was suddenly “a jewelry designer.” I’ve discovered a similar trend, this time among celebrities who think they’ve got what it takes to design lingerie. A week ago, Women’s Wear Daily reported that none other than R&B superstar Usher was launching his own line of intimates–no doubt he’s gathered enough research material in his years on the road, right?

Then later last week, People gave us the newsthat Molly Sims would also be joining the skivvies game with simple, wearable pieces: “I want it be what you wear, not what you wish you could wear.”

And finally, today comes the news, via Sassybella, that Russia beauty Natalia Vodianova (who has spent more than her fair share of time in Calvin Klein undies) will be collaborating on a line of lingerie with a French brand.

So many celebs with lingerie lines, so few tushes with which to fill them out! Is the celeb designer thing going a little overboard? Are you over it or excited about it?
