Opulent, Cheeky Absynthe Fragrance by Christian Lacroix
This version may not be as mischievous as the original little Green Fairy, but then again, nor is it a dangerously addictive psychoactive drug. The latest collaboration between Avon and the French fashion house is “rich and mystical, and reminds me of the citrine and topaz gemstones found on exotic embroideries - a great inspiration to my fashion and newest fragrance,” notes (yes, pun intended) the designer. A mix of sexy florals and rich woods, it’s bottled in a befitting chartreuse bottle, and adorned with an intricate design which pays homage to a bull-fighting cape that Lacroix famously transformed into a couture gown. We have a bottle to give away for the most creative or interesting factoid about Lacroix, Absinthe or decadent neon-green sprites left in the COMMENTS section of this post - we’ll choose the winner on April 30, 2009.
